Changes to my study programme





When I enter to the university to study sociology I was very excited by the way that was teaching the discipline. I think that the subjects are very complementary, and all of thems are very sinc with the stage of sociological formation. Also i think that it's a carrer quide demanding, but the teachers are very comprenssive and flexible, so that is an alive. 

But the time passed... and my anxious for know more and differents things grow, and I identificated, that the carrer was getting short, not in a way of demanding or of academic knowledge but in a way of connecting with the social reality of Chile. And i know that is important to take our own acctions that complement the academic studies, but, what type of students are forming? 

Maybe i don't understand how the university works and it's just so different from the school, but I think that they don't encourage a practice way to understand the sociology. This is a thing that it can be changed, and it would be very enriching for debate and training in the discipline, a sociological trade. Also i think that it's important to have more interdisciplinary, the faculty have to potence the differents way to aproach to the reality, and i think that is so important for the sociology to include those knowledge. 

Talking about the boarding teachers I think that they are very great, and I just have good impressions about them. They know too much, and i think that they have a lot to deliver. But sometimes they have a lot of years doing this so the carrer don't changed to much. In addition to i think that the faculties have a lot of great facilities, because you have a great library, decents classrooms and good bathroms, but something that we don't have and i that is urgent it's a caisno for lunch.

    It is very interesting opinion, I would not have imagined that sociology in this university is not connecting with the social reality of Chile

    That also happens to me as a psychology student, I'm in my second year and sometimes I feel like I really don't know anything about psychology, that happens to me with the subjects that talk about the epistemology of the social sciences.

My favorite concert

One of my favorite concert was a festival called Primavera Sound. It just happend one year since i went there. This Festival was one day festival, that has a grat number opf artist, like not to many and not too much.  This event has developed around the Movistar Arena in Santiago the Chile. There was a lot of cool people, that enjoyed the music in the same vibe as me and my friends. The atmosphere was very intresting, because we saw many different outffits and people, but all with the same intresting with the artists that preformed.  In the Ritual Fest we listen to Clara Cava, Sen Senrra and C.tangana. All were differents shows but very atracctive. The first one, was a girl that sang pop mixed with some blues, from argentina. Her show was on the day and it was very empty, so we have interactions with her and after the concert we smoked a cigarret with Clara and her band. Sociologyst... maybe my dream job

When I think about my dream job, it's kind of difficult to imagine myself. Because the mayor that I'm studying, the labor area, is diverse and ambiguous. But the amplitude that brings me the sociology and the ignorance that I have on this field is very encouraging to open my mind.  I imagine my self working on a foundation or maybe with a local organization, all around urbanistic themes, because that is what passionate about. Trying to rethink how we understand the city and neighborhoods. I think, that the urbanistic problems are so varied, everyday problems and the significant.  Also, I will really like to contribute, with my knowledge, to think social housing and to have a better living, in the city. I think that most of our behavior is determinate of what idea of living and how we live and relate with the space.  About the salary, I will love to be generous, so I can live my life in peace and don't be worry about the money. To the 90s...

This topic is very interesting, something that gave you a lot to talk and to dream... When I imagine this question I just think in the past, maybe for the fear that brings me to know the feature, because I don't have positive expectations about it. But also, I don't imagine the past in Chile, because it doesn't excite me too much.  I would love to go to the 90s in England. Because I like the music, the underground culture and the artist who emerged in that country. One of my dreams would go to a concert of the most important bands of the time, like the Smiths, New Order, Pulp, The verve, or Oasis. I imagine myself with my friends enjoying the good music and the attractive that brings you those sceneries. Also, it would be very fun if I go with my friends, because I know that with them, I would have a great time no matter what. And I can develop better my personality.   But I think that this dream would be great not forever, because as all the context, they have bad things...
